Amphibious vehicle registration and licensing requirements are unlike any other transportation type depending on the country and state it is used in.
Amphibious vehicles may be required to be registered and licensed for both water use and road use.
We recommend you check with the local governing authority as to what is legally needed to operate an Amphibious vehicle in your area before you purchase a H1-Panther.
WaterCar is a U.S. Coast Guard registered boat builder. The H1-Panther comes with a registered U.S. Coast Guard hull number so it can be licensed for water usage most anywhere in the world.
Registering and licensing an amphibious vehicle for highway use is based on the pre-existing legal registration of the original HUMVEE© Vehicle that is assembled for amphibious use.

With proper maintenance, the H1-Panther can be used in saltwater. The vehicle is constructed of non-corrosive materials wherever possible but, like any vessel exposed to saltwater, it is recommended it be thoroughly rinsed with fresh water after use. A light spray with a lubricant like WD 40 will help prevent corrosion. Amphibious vehicles need much more maintenance as a standard boat when used in salt water.

Yes. A hard top can be added to your custom-built H1-Panther. Also, full size doors are available instead of the standard half doors that come standard with the vehicle. The H1-Panther has the same size measurements as a standard Humvee, so standard HUMVEE© Vehicle doors and roofs are interchangeable. Contact us for pricing.

Amphibious vehicles require more maintenance than a standard automobile. While the H1-Panther only has one motor, it has two propulsion systems, each having its own unique maintenance needs. We highly recommend you have a good marine and off-road mechanic available as these are very unique vehicles.
